This Order may be cited as the Rural Electrification Act (Commencement) Order, 2004.

2. Commencement of Act No. 20 of 2003

The Rural Electrification Act, 2003 shall come into operation on the date of the publication of this Order.

1. Title

This Order may be cited as the Rural Electrification (Rural Area) (Declaration) Order, 2003.

2. Declaration of rural area

The area described in the Schedule is declared as a rural area for the purposes of the Act.

The proposed project site in extent 2500m2 is located within the perimeter fence of the Copperbelt Forest Company (CFC), Kalibu Sawmill, on geographical coordinates 12° 52’28.80”S and 28° 15’ 39.28’E, in the south western section of the log yard, off the Ndola/Kitwe Dual Carriage Way, Kafue ward, Kamfinsa area and is bordered by the Kafue River in the west, the Mwekera River in the north, an open area in the east and residential housing in the south and is approximately 10.5km from Kitwe town centre in the south eastern direction.
